For the past several years, there has been a tremendous growth in regional food industry. Currently, there are about 850 food industry enterprises operating in the Chelyabinsk Region.

Regional enterprises produce the following share of food products among the enterprises of the entire country:
  • 22% of pasta.
  • 11% of cereals.
  • 8% of wheat and wheat-rye flour.
  • 6% of meat and edible by-products of poultry.
  • 5% of compound feed.
  • 4% of cattle meat and pork.

The largest enterprises of the sector are: Soyuzpishcheprom Association, Makfa, Resurs, Ariant, Sitno, Rosmol (Russian Milk), Ravis, Zdorovaya Ferma (Healthy Farm), Churilovo agricultural complex, Niagara water company, the Ural Confectioners company, Sigma Group of Companies, Romkor meat factory, Podovinnovskoye milk factory, United Confectioners Co., Kremenkul confectionery, Revolution of Flavor etc.

One of the current and the most important tasks of the region is to increase the level of export of agricultural products. A lot of work has already been done to achieve this. Compared to 2019, in 2020 the export of agricultural products from the Chelyabinsk Region increased by 15% and by 8.3% in value and volume terms respectively. According to the operational data of the Federal Customs Service, supplies of agricultural products from the region amounted to approximately 185 thou. tons which was worth almost 157 million USD. Chelyabinsk Region is the leading exporter of agricultural products among all regions of the Ural Federal District.


Support measures for investors:

  • Loans at a preferential rate of 1 to 5% per annum.
  • Assistance in entering international markets: preferential loans, co-financing of transportation costs, and product certification.
